Update process takes about 20 minutes with CLASS 10 SD card. But update to 0367 is no problem, only you have to be sure that your battery is in good condition and will not discharge during update, or keep engine running or connect to charger during update. If you don't have correct solution you can brick unit (but is possible to do recovery, but it's again HW tricks). And about changes, there is grid menu, some transition animations and support of Virtual Cockpit. Even activation of SWAP / FEC codes (Android Auto, Apple Car Play, Mirror Link.).Īnd of course there is risk. You don't need to do any HW tricks, it's just SD card method. I had bought Smart Link before update, and after update it's working without reactivation needed.īTW on units with navigation (2 SD slots) it's more simple. You can update only to 0367 (officially from 2xx to 2xx, from 3xx to 3xx, from 4xx to 4xx) without any modding.
